2 Sydneys?

One of my buddies got after me for my lack of a post after Alias returned a week ago...

I was pretty bored with the first episode and the second got better, especially the last 2 seconds when we got to see Vaughn. Ha! See! I KNEW he was alive...never even cried during his "death & funeral" I KNEW he'd return!

Sydney's Labor & Delivery...WHATEVER! We really must all try the office chair approach. Being a secret spy must be an epideral enough... did she even push? Or did Isabelle just fall out...and she didn't even cry, weren't they concerned? Oh! I get it, they were all trying to be quiet so they would be caught....yeah, that's it!

And quickly... What the crap was that last night? Anna has now been turned into Sydney? I missed the first 30 minutes, so someone please clue me in! Sydney mentioned that she hated lying to Will... something about Vaughn, so she knows he's a live? Do tell!

Easter Festivities

The morning started off early around 7 am when the boys came upstairs and got in bed with us. (They never do that!) We all went back to sleep and then Parker felt squished so he went in the front room. Around 8 am Parker came in and asked if they could get into their Easter baskets...still groggy and asleep, I said Yes, but let me take a picture first. Then the boys fell asleep again on the couches.

Dex REALLY enjoyed his chocolate bunny! The Easter Bunny also brought the boys a travel Battleship game and each a new bike!

After church we went to Mike & Kristen's to celebrate Easter and my birthday! Uncle Chris & his girlfriend, Jessica, hid the first round of eggs and candy and then the rest of us had a great time hiding eggs and then trying to remember where we hid them. The boys had a fun time helping their cousins find eggs and candy. Warmer...colder...warmer... waaaarrrmmmeeerrrr...you're getting really hot now! Yes! You Found it!

Oh Baby!

Forget Love...I'd rather fall in Chocolate!

John and I were at Dan's Saturday Night about 11 pm (just hours before Easter) and trying to find some treats for his Sunday School class. We soon found out that all the bags of chocolate and Easter candy had been marked down to $1 per bag and my precious Cadbury Creme Eggs were only 25 CENTS!!! After checking out, I went to get the car and John went back for more. I was more than a little surprised when John returned with 25 Cadbury Eggs... so we ended up with 30 Eggs for only $6.25...SCORE!!! We are going to freeze the rest of the chocolate. I don't want to be in a disaster WITHOUT any chocolate! Can you imagine what some women would pay for some chocolate... but what could be better than chocolate at a time like that???? What would I trade my chocolate away for??? Yes, I consider Chocolate a part of my food storage!

During Easter I LOVE Cadbury Creme Eggs (Dip in the goo to unleash your naughty, playful side!)...I must say that I have definitely had my share this Easter season...no more for me...and it's a good thing they are only around during Easter! I use to be a big semi-sweet chocolate fan but lately it's been all about the milk chocolate!

More Anniversary Pics

Since the blog won't put these 2 pictures in with my 14th Anniversary post, I'm inserting them here: The great marble bathroom with Steam Bath/Shower, which was just to the left as you entered and the potty was at the end to the left. There was a makeup/vanity mirror with a light (you can see it on the counter) It made me laugh because it had 4 different light settings (home, day, night & office... like I'm going to lug that thing around to do my makeup)

Maybe the post can only be a certain length...oh, well, it's working now.

And here is the cowboy, many of you may remember, that use to be between the Stateline and Silversmith Casinos...he apparently has a name "Wendover Will" and he's way out at the west end, inviting you to West Wendover!

The Beach's all had dinner together on Sunday at Mike & Kristen's lovely new home and I had to post some pictures of my Lil' Miss Ashley in her Mardi Gras beads! Someone said, "Oh, she's such a girl!" Which I said is funny, cause she IS a girl, but all those necklaces are Keegan's! When Ashley was done, she couldn't get them off and was getting a little tangled!

Wow! Time Really Flies When...

...I'm on Ambien and get some sleep. This blog started when I was an insomniac and would stay up all night blogging and adding pictures. So I've been sleeping lately, instead of bloggin!

On March 24, John and I celebrated our 14th Wedding Anniversary. We went to Wendover on the 23rd and stayed overnight at the Montego Bay Casino. Now we haven't been to Wendover since, well I think, we had kids... maybe 8-10 years! John booked us at the Montego Bay because it had better reviews online and we weren't expecting much to begin with. We were both pleasantly surprised!

The room was great! Brand-new wing of the hotel, SMOKE-FREE (huge selling point for me!)

Luxurious Marble Bathroom with a shower/Steam Bath! John loved the steam bath. I couldn't breath, was coughing/choking and couldn't stand the heat, so I didn't last long in there!

I didn't want to go home and we didn't want to leave the room and didn't!... except to eat dinner at the Oceano Buffet. The food was your average run-of-the-mill Casino Buffet but I didn't care because we had a wonderful room... and wonderful company of course!

Since we drove straight to the casino, we thought we better see what other things have changed in Wendover... okay, not much, but they were building a theater/art/cultural center? That seems a little weird for Wendover. We did find out old cowboy friend. The last time we were in town he stood between the Stateline and Silversmith casinos. Now he stands out as far west as you care to go in Wendover. We saw him and then turned around and drove home. It was nice to have a quick little get-away. Waldean watched the boys for us overnight and we really appreciated that!
The computer is "acting up" and not uploading my pics, so I'll add them later. I have a pic of the bathroom and the cowboy.

Woo Hoo! My Girl's Coming Back!

Welllll, although the ABC.com website says they don't have episodes scheduled yet for Alias, someone else has some inside information. Apparently Alias IS returning to ABC for new episodes in April. I had resigned myself to believe there would be no more Sydney, Jack, Marshall, Dixon, Sloane and Vaugh (I still don't think he's dead... there was no body, and Hey! this is Alias, but that's a whole other story) ... So I'm over-joyed!

I found an Alias blog!! The lady talks allll about Alias and even has a few different writers! There are lots of pictures too. They also have a count down for the return of Alias...40 Days and counting!!! I'm pretty excited, not that I have limited my TV time. What are some of your other favorite TV shows?

Know Where I Want To Go to College?

After Dexter's Friday night basketball game last week we went out to eat at Robintino's. While waiting for our meal, Parker said, "I bet you can guess where I want to go to college?" I guessed, "BYU?" Parker said that was right. Then John and I preceded to tell him how difficult it would be to get accepted to BYU. We told him that he would need really good grades and if he lived outside of Utah that would probably increase his chances of getting in.
You all know how profound Dexter is, so when he asked if we knew where he wanted to go, we were expecting an Ivy League University.
Dexter said, "Do you know where I want to go to college?... I want to go to Eagle Gate College!"


John and I tried really hard not to laugh, he was so cute and sincere. We'll just be happy if both our boys go to college... and even happier if they get scholarships!

FINALLY! A man that "Gets" Us!

This is from a friend's 2005 Valentines Blog... I loved it so much I saved it and even printed it in this years' PTA Newsletter. Every male should read this!

It’s Valentine’s Day. Have you remembered to obtain SOMETHING for your significant other today?

For those of the male species who may not be aware, we cannot EVER ignore any Hallmark Holiday (birthdays, mother’s day, anniversary, TODAY, etc.), even if she tells you that you don’t need to get her anything. The fact that you remembered the day will bring her joy. If you forget or take her “no gift” request literally, it will break her heart and forgiveness will be slow. If she really loves you, only time and extreme grovelling will soothe the hurt – the most expensive gift in the world might actually make it worse.

People who are single tend to hate Valentine’s Day. Is there anyone who hasn’t heard it bitterly referred to as “Single Awareness Day” – a day that single people are cruelly reminded by everyone around them that they have no love life?

I enjoy Valentine’s Day myself. I have been married for just over four years, and the relationship is still going strong. I love my wife very much, and all evidence says she loves me. Last year I bought my wife concert tickets for a show that played on her birthday, and gave them to her on Valentine’s Day. I’m afraid that the budget keeps me from doing something so flashy this year.

UPDATE: I didn’t intend the focus of my second paragraph above to be gifts. I was trying to say that you must show, in some way, that the day is important to you and that you remembered it. The problem arises when the man inteprets “don’t get me anything” as “today means nothing, don’t worry about it.”

A Blogging We Will Go

A Blogging We Will Go, Hi Ho The Dairy-O, To the Deyhle's Cabin We Goooooo-OOOOO!

We spent Saturday night and Superbowl Sunday with the Deyhle's, Dawson's, Powell's & Beach's at the Deyhle's Cabin! It was tons of fun and there was tons of great food! Our team lost... Parker bet $3 on the Seahawks... oh, well! Hopefully he will learn the evils of gambling!

Cameron, Allison & Lesley took Parker & Dexter sledding Saturday night. They left the cabin about 10:30 pm and came back just before midnight... I think. I took an Ambien at 11:30pm and then got worried that I wouldn't be awake to make sure they made it home alive... they did... and I did.
They also went sledding the next morning. They all would sled down the hill and then Cameron would pick them up and drag them back behind the snowmobile. I don't know who had more fun, Cameron or the kids!

Ashley had the cutest little pink snowsuit that her grandma got her! She wasn't too sure about the snow this weekend... she wasn't too sure about very much this weekend. She was sick and teething and having a horrible time. Poor Baby Ash! I hope she is feeling much better now! Ashley did head down the sledding hill once. She only cried when Haley stopped!

The big excitement of the weekend wasn't they football game or the food, as you may have guessed, but it was the rabbit/s that are living under the patio table & chairs, under the snow on the deck! Valerie, Cam & Vickie's daughter, was sitting on the floor in front of me when the rabbit started hopping right toward us. Vali gave out a shreik of terror as if the rabbit was going to attack us right through the window! It was hilarious to those of us that realized there was a window/wall between us and realized that rabbit's aren't known to kill their prey... do rabbits have prey?

Anyway, we all had a wonderful time! Thanks Haley for all the planning and getting us all together and thank you to Ken & Gloria for having a place to get away!

Radioactive Girl

My transformation is complete...I've always wanted to be a super hero and now you can call me Radioactive Girl... you can call me ROG (pronounced rouge with a hard G as in Rogue Leader from Star Wars not as in rouge that girls put on their cheeks for color).

So ROG it is! The procedure was embarrasingly simple. It started out like an episodes of The Simpson's with Homer removing a nuclear vile from a container with long tweezer-like utensils. The technician put a big metal container on the counter, put some tap water in a suringe and inserted the water into a really small vile. All I did was drink, threw a straw, a tiny amount of liquid. He added a little water each time and I had to be sure and slurp a lot because, apparently, the radioiodine can adhere to the glass and I had to be sure to slurp it allllll up. That was it. I am radioactive! I now have to be careful and not "be with" anyone for 2 days. I can't sleep in the same bed as my hubby or my kids, can't watch a movie or read a book with them.

Okay! Here's the best part of the procedure! Michael Vartan was at the doctor's office and wasn't afraid of taking a picture with me, even though I was aglow! You know I always carry my camera and playboy bunny outfit!

Zane or Lucas?

Is he a cutie? The newest Baby Beach was born at 6:29 am on January 26, 2006, weighing in at 6 pounds 9 ounces and 20 inches long.

Last I heard he will either be named Lucas or Zane... I'm hoping for Zane. His middle name will be Gary (that's the deceased grandfather) What a wonderful tribute. Besides Zane being a cool name, Zane Gray was one of Gary Beach's favorite authors. It may be too late for a vote, but you can vote anyway in your comment.


Parker and Dexter are excited for their 8th new cousin!... They are pretty lucky because I only have 3 cousins! Yes, Three! That's it and none of them live anywhere near Utah!

Grave's Update

I saw Dr. Hales again on Thursday. He says, Yes, the Grave's is definitely real. I don't have anything else wrong with me, no cancer or infections. My sedrate was 12... cancer or illness shows at around 100. I pretty healthy. My cholesterol was only 165, the nurse said Excellent.

We schedule my radioiodineablation for Monday. This will be the radiation they do to my thyroid. In the past 2 weeks my symptoms have gotten worse, so I am excited to start getting better.

Dr. Hales said that I have my normal "threshold". When I was banded this raised my threshold tolerance a little bit and then the Grave's pushed me over the edge. He is hoping that once the Grave's is "taken care of" all my digestion problems with get lots better. If not we may talk about removing my band... yes, that's how bad things have gotten. Once I started taking the Reglan, things have gotten 85% better and the Ambien is heaven sent! It's so awesome to feel tired and feel like you could go to sleep if you wanted to!

Wish me luck! and you can call me Radioactive Girl. I'll be radiating for 2 days so I can't spend long periods of time with anyone, especially my kids. I'd love to spend 2 days in a hot tub at some hotel, but the doctor said it would be fine to stay at home and carry on as normal... DANG IT!

Your Own Blackhole

Why is it when you need a pair of scissors you can never find them? I remember growing up we never had scissors and now this horrible legacy as followed me to my own home.

Do you also have trouble finding fingernail clippers and that one sock? Where do you eventually find it? Where is your blackhole?

Do you think when we die we will find all our lost items in a neat little pile in heaven?...will we be able to find the pile of all our lost junk? will we care anymore?

My Favorite Pic of Me

This is my favorite picture from Christmas. It freaks me out to see myself so skinny, and with only one chin, and a neck! Everyday, my brain tells me I'm still a fatty, so I don't remember that I have lost weight until I see myself! This is the chocolate melter that Kristen gave me for Christmas.

And this is my least favorite picture, I looked like a big giant grape. (I did like the dress, Jess!) I just love seeing the comparison! This is at my sister, Jessica's wedding in 2000. That's my Dad, I'm pinning a boutinerre on, isn't he handsome?
